Emmett Shear is one of the co-founders of Twitch’s predecessor, Justin.tv. Justin.tv was a user-generated live video content delivery platform. Three years after its launch, it turned into Twitch and was acquired by Amazon in 2014. He was then CEO of Twitch.

Emmett Shear will continue to work at Twitch as an advisor.
