Twitter has a new tweet sound

some of us On the edge I noticed something new in the Twitter app on iOS: When you swipe down to refresh your feed, you’ll hear two new beeps. One is a small peep that plays when you first pull up your feed, and you’ll hear a simple confirmation beep when your feed finishes updating. (Although the sounds sound more mechanical than any real bird I’ve ever heard.)

I made such a record You can hear what I’m asking. This is a little different from the short “pop” you may have heard during the previous update.

We’re not quite sure when the change will release, but we first noticed it on Friday followingnoon, and we’ve seen it gathering From Tweets About the new whining from Friday. There are also some tweets that hint at suspense in the past Couple weeksThis means Twitter is slowly rolling it out before a big release.

It seems that this is not just a change for iOS. One edge The Android employee sometimes hears the second new noise I’ve described, and sends out some tweets I’ve found regarding twittering. From Android.

If you want to hear the noise yourself on your phone, swipe down to refresh your feed. If you don’t hear it, try force closing and reopening the Twitter app (that’s what worked for me), and make sure you’re using the latest version of the app. We don’t know how popular this version is, so even if you try these steps you might still not hear sounds.

Now, if you’ll let me, I’ll update the app to hear the beautiful new sounds once more. second. Maybe once more. One last time, I promise you…
