Twitter… welcome to add another feature to verify information and prevent misinformation

Twitter has announced a new addition to its news verification system, as the platform will send a notification to anyone who has responded to or liked a tweet, if a “Community note” is added to it.

Community observation is one of the techniques used by the platform to reduce misleading news, as these notes are added to tweets to clarify their context, and to add the necessary information to them to prevent misleading.

And the platform wrote on its account, “Starting today, you will receive an alert if a “Community Note” appears on a Tweet that you have replied to, liked, or Retweeted. This helps give people additional context that they may miss.”

Elon Musk, owner of the platform, commented on his Twitter account, saying, “Great work from the Community Feedback team. Overall, community feedback is an invaluable tool in combating misinformation.”

Some of the platform’s pioneers welcomed the new additions to the notes feature, stressing that it is one of the best Twitter tools and has a prominent role in combating misinformation.

Tweeters commented that the development of this feature is the best that Elon Musk has done since he came to lead the platform, which has made major changes at all levels.
