While since 2020 the entire planet has been busy fighting the virus, vaccination heroes continue to administer vaccines to restore hope to the Quebec nation. The organization Les Impatients publishes the comic strip – Together against COVID – a unique work where art and health come together wonderfully.
This album testifies to the valuable contribution of hundreds, even thousands, of professionals from different walks of life in Quebec, who have made it possible to accelerate the rate of administration of vaccines by making it possible to maintain the nursing staff where
their presence was essential. Highlighting the diversity of professional activities, it will transport readers to the very heart of 30 professions in the field of human and animal health authorized to vaccinate during the pandemic. To immortalize this mobilization and this pride, a representative of each of the 30 professions was drawn by Mario Malouin, illustrious designer in Quebec, to highlight and raise awareness of the clinical practice of the professional on a daily basis and his invaluable contribution to the vaccination campaign. There are also testimonies imbued with altruism, passion, benevolence and tender or sometimes funny moments!
“Not only have professionals with unique expertise mobilized from the first hour to ensure vaccination for the entire population, but they are mobilizing here again for the other pandemic: mental health problems” emphasizes Jean-Bernard Trudeau, doctor, vaccinator and creator of the project.
A comic book that is both fun and educational that will work from memory.
Note that original works have been integrated at the beginning and end of the album. They were produced by participants in the Les Impatients comic book workshops, led by cartoonist Siris.
Les Impatients is an organization that helps people with mental health problems through artistic expression, by offering free art workshops. All profits from the sale of this album will contribute to the operation of the organization.
