Firefighters have started the evacuation of people trapped in a Plopsaland attraction in De Panne. At 9:50 p.m., the first two people were released from the “Ride to Happiness“, said the firefighters of the Westhoek area on Saturday evening. “The medical services will now subject them to a check-up“, we specify. Five other people have been stuck for about four hours at 32 meters high in dantesque weather conditions.
“Our teams are currently on site for a blocked attraction in Plopsaland. A crisis unit has been set up to coordinate relief. All services are ready to receive people as soon as they get off“, said the Westhoek rescue area on Saturday evening.
