Two restaurants closed after a hygiene check in Nice

The 28°C recorded in the kebab sauce led municipal agents from the hygiene department to carry out other readings and samples.

Thus, last Friday, the shared intervention unit of the Nice municipal police carried out checks at the end of the day. Two establishments had to close their doors immediately, Blue Villagerue Lépante and the Desert Rose, rue de Belgique. The decision was notified to them on Monday.

Among the anomalies noted, problems of uncleanliness, non-compliant storage conditions, risk of cross-contamination, etc.

You should know that when hygiene-related shortcomings are noted, the duration of closure is not de facto imposed. The restaurant must prove that it has taken the necessary measures. The reopening can therefore be rapid. In principle, they must affix to the window a document sent by the City services on which it is simply indicated that “by decree (…), the Mayor of the City of Nice has decided the administrative closure of the establishment (…) from November 10, 2023 until compliance is achieved”.
