At the border post in Finland, two Russians were detained who were trying to enter the Leningrad region. It turned out that they entered the Schengen zone five years ago and lived illegally in Spain.

Citizens of the Russian Federation tried to leave Suomi through the Vaalimaa-Torfyanovka checkpoint, reports April 19 press office Finnish border guard. They did not have any visas or border control stamps – the violators themselves said that they entered the Schengen zone in 2017 and illegally settled in Spain.

The Border Guard offered the Migration Service to expel illegal immigrants and prohibit them from entering the country. It is noted that violators are regularly caught at the Vaalimaa checkpoint, who are usually identified during checks when leaving the country. But, as a rule, the period of their unauthorized stay ranges from several days to several years, and more than five is an exceptional case.
