A 34-year-old snowboarder from the Netherlands and a 58-year-old local skier were seriously injured on Sunday in a collision on the Schwaigabfahrt run in the Aineck-Katschberg ski area in Salzburg’s Lungau. According to the police report, both drove “quickly in generous turns” down the valley before a collision occurred in the middle of the piste. The two winter athletes were taken to the Tamsweg State Hospital with serious injuries to their legs.
