The UAE observed Remembrance Day today in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the nation. Silent prayers were held at various army headquarters and government centers.
The leaders of the nation said in a statement that the UAE values the contributions of those who gave their lives for the country and their families.
Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office for the Welfare of Martyrs’ Families, attended the silent prayer and ceremony held at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi.
The national flag was flown at half-mast in front of the heroic memories of the martyrs. Remembrance Day programs were arranged at police headquarters in various emirates. Dubai Police made Remembrance Day memorable by sharing videos of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Commemoration ceremonies were held in various centers of the UAE. Leaders of the nation said that heroic heroes will always live in the hearts of the people and their sacrifice will be appreciated forever.
