UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 1,530 prisoners in jail to coincide with the UAE’s 51st National Day. He also ordered to settle the debts of the released prisoners. A three-day holiday has been announced for the private sector on the occasion of UAE National Day and Remembrance Day. The Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization announced that the private institutions of the country will be closed from Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3. A three-day holiday has already been announced for the public sector in the country.

The decision is to give the released prisoners a chance to start a new life, rethink their future, serve their families and contribute to society. Meanwhile, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi ordered the release of 333 prisoners in the emirate. 1040 prisoners will be released in Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, also ordered in this regard.
