UAS would accept more students in medicine, nursing, architecture and dentistry: Rector

After publishing the results of the Ceneval exam to enter the faculties, the Rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Jesús Madueña Molina, pointed out that the possibility of expanding the number of students accepted in certain careers is being considered.

“We are about to make a cut next week to assess how close they have come to the schools and see the possibility in the groups of medicine, nursing, architecture and dentistry, see if we can expand the number of accepted a little more and that It will depend on those who have already registered, but we will wait one more week,” he said.

As for the cost that could generate the opening of more places for applicants who have already completed their pre-registration and examination process, the Rector said that it will be the same as previously contemplated, except for the two new medicine groups in Guasave.

“Well, what we have been handling before, because the groups that we have contemplated in medicine, are the same as last year, except for the growth of Guasave, where we have projected two groups, in the rest in what is dentistry and nursing continue to be the same groups and attend to group A”, he pointed out.

The Rector of the Rosalina house explained that there was information that was being mishandled, about the expiration of the registration process, which is Friday, July 29, not now in June.

On June 24, the results of the Ceneval exam were announced, by the University it was indicated that universal coverage would be given at the upper middle and higher levels.

It was reported that a favorable response would be given to all the applicants, amounting to 53,535, which represents 25 percent more than the students enrolled in the current school year.
