An Uber driver, who was accompanied by his family while performing his duties, he was shot on saturday night in the upper sector of Valparaíso.
Minutes following dropping off a passenger at his destination in the Camino La Pólvora sector -at the height of the commune prison-, a white van approached his mobile, and from this, someone shot him at least six times.
One of them injured the driver in the arm.so he went to the Nueva Aurora police station in Viña del Mar to file a complaint with the Carabineros.
“When verifying what happened, they took the victim to the SAPU, and due to the injuries he had, he was later transferred to the Gustavo Fricke Hospital of Viña del Mar,” detailed the prosecutor on duty in Valparaíso, Carlos Rivas.
Subsequently, the Public Ministry ordered the police to carry out the first steps: “Take a statement from the victim of the events, from his family, photographically fix the vehicle and check it thoroughly to find some kind of shell casing or ballistic debris of criminal interest, and also be sent to Labocar to find the perpetrators of this crime”.
Nevertheless, the search of the car ended without physical evidence of the shootingwhich will make the investigation difficult, according to the persecutor.
