UBS: Iqbal Khan appointed sole director of wealth management

At the same time, Tom Naratil will leave the big bank at the beginning of next October.

A change occurs at the direction of UBS. Iqbal Khan will become sole director of the wealth management division. The division’s current co-head Tom Naratil will leave the big bank in early October.

In addition to co-heading Wealth Management, Mr. Naratil will also step down as head of UBS Americas, the three-key bank said Tuesday evening. His replacement in this position will be Naureen Hassan who comes from the Federal Reserve of New York and who will also join the group management.

The appointment of Mr. Khan as the group’s sole Wealth Management Director ensures the application of the bank’s overall growth strategy. Currently, in addition to his position as co-director, Mr. Khan is responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. A 46-year-old Swiss national, he arrived at UBS in 2019 from Credit Suisse, his transfer having been the subject of the incredible “spy case”.
