Uganda: bank profitability increases by a quarter in 2021

The Central Bank of Uganda (BoU) remains optimistic regarding banks’ resilience to potential shocks.

In Uganda, the profitability of commercial banks increased to reach 1,073.9 billion shillings (nearly 290 million USD) at the end of 2021, informs the Central Bank in its annual supervision report (ASR).
