The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB, formerly KGB) has arrested an alleged spy from that country who would have provided information to Ukrainian military intelligence in the Russian city of Kursk, near the border with Ukraine.
The detainee worked for the Main Intelligence Department of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, for which he was recruited in February 2018 by an employee of the special services.
The man, originally from the Ukrainian city of Sumy, across the border, is accused of having collected and transferred information about “installations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation” to be used against Russian security.
