Ukraine announced on Friday that 9,166 Russian soldiers have been killed since the Russian military intervention in Ukraine.

This is what emerges from a press release from the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian army.

According to the statement, the Ukrainian army destroyed 33 planes, 37 helicopters, 251 tanks, 939 armored vehicles, 105 armored vehicles and two ships belonging to Russia during the past eight weeks.

The Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Army also claimed that Russia suffered heavy losses: “50 missile launch systems, 404 vehicles, 60 fuel vehicles, 18 air defense systems and 3 drones of the Russia were destroyed”.

And the same source to specify that this assessment does not concern the battles in progress.

Russia’s war on Ukraine, which began on February 24, has sparked outrage from the international community, including the European Union, Britain and the United States, which have implemented a series of economic sanctions against the Russia.

At least 136 civilians, including 13 children, have been killed and 400 others, including 26 children, injured in Ukraine. About a million people have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries, according to the latest UN figures.
