Ukrainian Emergency Services Confirm 7 Dead in Russian Attack on Humanitarian Aid Distribution Point

Today, Monday, the Ukrainian emergency services announced that the death toll from the Russian attack on a humanitarian aid distribution point in the southeast of the country had risen to seven, while two people were killed in bombing in the east.

Yury Malashko, governor of Zaporizhia region in southeastern Ukraine, said a guided bomb was used in Sunday’s attack on a school building that was being used to distribute aid in the small town of Orekhiv.

Emergency services said that three bodies were recovered from the rubble on Monday, bringing the death toll to seven. Search and rescue operations are now complete.

Malashko had said that 11 people were wounded in the attack and were receiving treatment in hospital.

Earlier in the day, the Public Prosecutor’s Office said the incident was being investigated as a war crime.
