A tourist of foreign nationality was passing through Gastelbondo street, in the Historic Center of Cartagena, when he was approached by two subjects who tried to steal his belongings.
The theft occurred on Thursday night around 7:10 p.m. Apparently, the foreigner showed resistance and that is when the antisocials inflicted the wounds on him with a firearm.
“There is an attempted robbery of a Spanish citizen. They wanted to take a watch from him, but he refused. The man was shot in the right leg. We are verifying if the shot was with a firearm or with a traumatic weapon,” said General Nicolás Zapata, commander of the Cartagena Metropolitan Police.
The man received a wound to his right thigh and was taken to the Bocagrande hospital.
