The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah states that foreigners who come on individual visit visas are allowed to perform Umrah. Saudi citizens can use individual visit visas to invite foreign friends for Umrah. Visitor visas are valid for 90 days and one year. Individuals are allowed to perform Umrah.
With the start of the new Umrah season, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has explained the specifics of the individual visit visa. The Ministry has clarified that Swadeshi citizens can use individual visit visas to invite their foreign friends and acquaintances for Umrah. Similar to other visit visas, two types of visas are allowed for individual visitors, single entry and multi entry.
Single entry visa is valid for 90 days. It can be extended for another 90 days. But the validity of multi-entry visa is up to 365 days. Individual visa holders can visit Masjid al-Haram in Makkah for Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. In addition, the Hajj Umrah Ministry stated that those who have obtained individual visit visas are allowed to travel anywhere in Saudi Arabia and visit tourist centers and historical places.
