UN estimates that 10 million people have fled their homes in Ukraine

The United Nations says tens of millions of people have fled their homes in Ukraine due to the Russian occupation. According to UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grande, this is about a quarter of Ukraine’s population. He said the war in Ukraine was devastating, with 10 million people fleeing the country or becoming refugees abroad.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Vladimir Selensky said talks were the only way to end the war. Selensky said he was ready to talk to Putin. ‘If we have a one per cent chance of stopping the war, I think we should seize this opportunity. Negotiation is the only way to end the war. “I am ready to talk to Putin.”
