New constituent process

On the other hand, the Minister of the Segpres, Ana Lya Uriarte, indicated that “we already have a fairly clear itinerary. Tomorrow, until 12 noon, there is a deadline to enter indications, there will be a session tomorrow afternoon in order to discuss the indications that will be voted on Wednesday.

“All this in order to try to carry out a process as agile and fast as possible, so that we can have a constituent process enabled during the year 2023,” explained the Secretary of State.

Uriarte also said that they entered “the request for immediate discussion. Having entered it, as we are in the district week, there is no room session. It has not been possible to account for this request, therefore it is now being processed with the impulse of the Constitution Commission itself.

Regarding the date to elect the constitutional advisers, the minister was asked if the Government is eventually concerned that this could come up against Mother’s Day.

“We have put it on the table, as an issue that we consider of interest to be reviewed by the Senate,” concluded Uriarte.
