At 10:12 p.m. on Thursday, residents of the Jiutepec Progreso neighborhood They heard explosions, eight according to some testimonies, and notified the authorities.
When police arrived at the scene they found a black car and two dead men with gunshot wounds.
The place of the attack was on the same street as Gabriela Gorostieta’s campaign house.
One of the deceased was identified as Teodoro Gorostieta, uncle of the coalition candidate PAN, AT, PRD y Progressive Social Networks.
The identity of the second victim is unknown.
The Attorney General’s Office of Morelos reported that investigations have begun to clarify the facts and locate those responsible.

Marko Cortes, national leader of the PAN, condemned the attack on Gabriela Gorostieta’s campaign house as well as the death of her uncle.
“Insecurity is completely out of control throughout the country,” he claimed in a publication on his social networks.
The PAN member also demanded National Electoral Institute (INE)y al government of Mexico to take urgent measures to protect the candidates due to the “climate of violence that threatens the electoral process.”
