He was caught in the act of spending more than 23 thousand for the printing and distribution of the activity report of the member of the Seimas, the conservative J. Džiugelis. euros.

A large sum for a political consultant

A. Tapinas claims to have found out that J. Džiugelis prepared activity reports for a natural person – Mindaugas Ardišauskas for large sums.

“Justas Džiugelis has been submitting invoices to the Seimas accounting department for three years, which are written out to him by one and the same person – Mindaugas Ardišauskas, who works on an individual basis,” says A. Tapinas.

According to him, M. Ardišauskas is a former shareholder and general director of the public relations agency “Fabula”, who later became an independent political consultant. In addition, since February, he is the head of the Responsible Gambling Business Association.

At the same time, M. Ardišauskas also provided communication services to the same J. Džiugel according to the contract concluded in June 2020.

“What does this mean? And what about the fact that Justas Džiugelis paid his political consultant with our money for three years according to most likely fictitious accounts”, claimed A. Tapinas.

J. Džiuelis himself testified that he prepared activity reports every month, but did not make them public.

“We considered preparing and publishing monthly activity reports, but in the long run it was decided not to publish monthly reports, as many works are continuous. Operational communication plans were prepared every month, but in an informal form. The formal activity report was published for the year 2020-2022. M. Ardišauskas’ services were financed from the line, which includes consultations on public/political communication, social network posts, press releases and preparation of speeches,” J. Džiugelis is quoted in A. Tapin’s text.

Parliamentarians bought the most computer equipment

A. Tapinas also announced the names of the members of the Seimas who purchased the most computer equipment.

First on the list is conservative Sergejus Jovaiša, who bought a MacBook Air computer in 2021, an iPhone 12 Pro Max phone for more than 1,500 euros in July, and a Lenovo ThinkBook computer for 1,300 euros in November of the same year.

At the same time, according to A. Tapin, the Seimas member also rented computer equipment – another Lenovo ThinkBook computer, LED monitor, laser printer and iPhone 13.

In 2022, the parliamentarian also purchased, according to A. Tapin, “strange purchases” – a remote computer communication device for 738 euros and a communication set of office equipment with accessories for 990 euros.

At the end of the same year, S. Jovaiša buys another computer – HP ProBook 450 G9 for 1,535 euros and a Samsung Galaxy S22 phone for 1,418 euros.

In 2023, S. Jovaiša bought another mobile device for 840 euros, and in October – another computer “HP Elite Book 860 G9” for almost 2000 euros.

“Let’s make ends meet. Sergej Jovaiša needed five computers for his parliamentary activities in 2021-2023: Macbooko, Lenovo ThinkBooko, HP Probooko, HP EliteBooko and for rent Lenovo ThinkBooko. And probably five phones: Iphone 12, Iphone 13, Samsung Galaxy and two vaguely named ones. The total amount exceeds 25,000 euros. The clever leaf really lives up to its nickname,” said A. Tapinas.
