“I apologized to Max.
“I would be mad if he (Verstappen) did the same to my trophy and I would like to apologize to those who put the time and effort into making it. I didn’t mean to do that. I will be more careful from now on.”
But Norris says he will continue to enjoy champagne showers in his familiar style of slamming him onto the podium.
“I don’t see any reason to change. Anyway, I’m going to pay a little more attention, after I put the trophy aside,” Norris said.
Regarding the broken trophy, Attila Simon, CEO of Pottery Herend, has indicated a policy to reproduce and replace the same one, saying that it has a lifetime warranty, but in principle the trophy is the property of the team, not the driver. It will not be displayed in Verstappen’s home.
