Uniformed man lost his life in a raid in Algeria

The National Police proceeded to carry out a raid and search operation in a home in the municipality of Argelia, Antioquia. Where a uniformed man lost his life in a shootout.

The violent event also claimed the lives of two civilians, who were left in the middle of the judicial procedure.

The intervention was carried out in the early hours of this Friday, March 1, against a criminal structure that had a presence in eastern Antioquia.

During the procedure, armed men opened fire on the authorities, presumably being part of the Clan del Oriente.

A bullet ended up hitting Deputy Superintendent JS Naranjo, belonging to the Organized Crime Group of the Sijin of the Antioquia Police.

Other shots extinguished the lives of a woman and a man. So far their identities are unknown.

In preliminary information, two alleged members of the criminal group were killed, and another seven people were captured.

The Antioquia Police regretted the death of the civilians and the actions of violence against the authorities where the uniformed man lost his life.
