Union Berlin: That’s why Max Kruse was missing from the start of training – Bundesliga

Training start on New Year’s Day at Union. 24 participants were able to train fully. But five professionals were missing, among them, surprisingly, Max Kruse (33).

The ex-international celebrated New Year’s Eve in Miami, as his Instagram videos show. Kruse and his wife Dilara visited their son Lauro Maxim, who lives in the USA. The Union star should train in Köpenick for the first time on Sunday after consultation with the club.

However, storm colleague Kevin Behrens (30) and the newly signed defender Dominique Heintz (28, Freiburg) were also allowed to take a day longer vacation. There was a private appointment with Behrens. Heintz originally took his vacation according to the Freiburg plan.

So Kruse got another extra sausage. Shortly before Christmas he got a day off between the games against Freiburg (0-0) and in Bochum (1-0) because of his wedding. This is not a problem for Fischer: “Everything has been agreed. These are things that remain between us. “

However, some reservists who always train might not like that. In favor of Kruse’s special treatment, however, is that he almost always performs. In Bochum he scored the 1-0 victory goal. Something similar is expected of him for the first league game on Saturday, January 8th, in Leverkusen.

The midfielders Pawel Wszolek (29) and Rani Khedira (27) had to pass involuntarily at the start due to Corona. Wszolek is stuck in quarantine in Poland until January 5th. Khedira also tested positive for Corona during the Christmas holidays and is symptom-free. He may be able to test himself off early next week.
