According to Myriam Delmée, the management of Cora Belgium would do everything to make the brand attractive: “ You have to dress the bride to look sexy. They want an austerity plan to be able to sell afterwards. We no longer have any doubt that the Louis Delhaize group wants to resell its Cora Belgium activities.”
But what does the brand ask of its employees? “To tighten our belts,” explains the trade unionist, “to eliminate a whole series of benefits negotiated in recent years such as supplements in the event of illness and seniority leave. We are asking them to tighten their belts to be able to recover money and reduce salary costs so that the deficit, the recurring losses, are less significant and so that we can hope to find a buyer for Cora.“
