After the first revelations in these cases, the Fed had announced a full review of the rules of ethics concerning the financial activities authorized for its officials. In his post since September 2018, Richard Clarida has more specifically worked on the communication of the institution’s monetary policy committee. He was also the Fed’s representative to various international organizations, including the Bank for International Settlements, the G20, the G7, the IMF and the OECD.
