University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Improves to 66.4 in February, Above Estimate

The index of University of Michigan consumer sentiment rose 1.5 points in the preliminary reading for February, rising to 66.4 from 64.9 in January, improving the 65 estimated by the market. This is the best result obtained by the indicator in ten months, since April 2022.

The component of Five-year consumer inflation expectation has remained unchanged at 2.9%.
