Star Wars: Outlaws won’t do like Starfield. A few days ago, the Massive Entertainment studio reaffirmed in Edge magazine its ambition to create a real open world around the Disney franchise. If the appearance of this universe is not yet defined, Star Wars obliges, we will find ourselves traveling between galaxies. Regarding its size, the creative director of the studio promises ultra vast worlds. “It’s a crude analogy, but one planet could be roughly the equivalent of two of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey areasfor example,” Julian Gerighty said in an interview with the outlet.

However, compared to Starfield, “we didn’t generate planets procedurally,” argues Julian Gerighty. These worlds will all be “handcrafted”. However, media outlet Eurogamer reports that once you arrive on a new star, it won’t be possible to visit it entirely, but players will land on specific areas. Star Wars Outlaws is in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, and is slated for release next year.

Star Wars Outlaws is a new game from the eponymous license, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. In terms of timeline, the title takes place between the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi following the Battle of Hoth. For this new adventure, we will have the opportunity to embody a smuggler, like Han solo: Kay Vess accompanied by Nix, a Merqaal who serves as her companion. In terms of gameplay, Outlaws will be a third-person shooter with an ultra-ambitious open world.
