Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner, but Insomniac Games’ title won’t just have good surprises for fans of the weaver. The studio recently confirmed that several outfits of the two protagonists will be reserved for purchase.
The new adventure of the weavers is taking shape
This is probably the most anticipated game of the year by PS5 gamers: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is getting ever closer to its release date, set for October 20. Insomniac Games’ software was among the stars of the last Playstation Showcase during which fans of the weaver were able to see the first real gameplay sequences, with in particular a Peter Parker under symbiote more powerful than ever.
Since the last Playstation Showcase, information about this new opus has multiplied. Insomniac has given us details on the history of this title and also mentioned the arrival of the legendary Venom. Also, we learned about two premium editions – Digital Deluxe et Collector – which are already on pre-order.
These two editions notably allow you to unlock additional outfits for Miles Morales and Peter Parker. And in this regard, Insomniac has just revealed information that may disappoint players wishing to get their hands on these outfits without paying an additional fee.
Haute couture has a price
The Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions each unlock ten additional outfits for our heroes. Five outfits for Peter Parker and five outfits for Miles Morales. There were already many outfits to unlock in the first opus as well as stand-alone via in-game progression, but this time you have to get used to the idea: it will be impossible to unlock the costumes of these editions by only owning the basic game. The information has been officially confirmed by Insomniac Games.

Will we be able to unlock these costumes through in-game progression? – No, they are exclusive to the Digital Deluxe Edition.
This information potentially implies that it will be impossible to recover them individually on the Playstation Store. So be careful, this does not mean that these are the only additional outfits in the software. But concerning these ten costumes, it will necessarily be necessary to acquire the Digital Deluxe or the Collector to recover them.
As a reminder, the Digital Deluxe Edition at 89.99 euros therefore includes ten outfits, two skill points, as well as stickers and exclusive frames for the photo mode. The collector’s edition includes the same content, as well as a steelbook case (without the physical game, a code is included in the edition) and finally a statuette of Miles and Peter facing Venom, 48 centimeters high.
