UNLP Faculty of Medical Sciences Faces Webex Connection Issues: Suspension of Virtual Classes

2023-10-24 08:55:07

From the Faculty of Medical Sciences, teachers complained regarding the lack of connection to the UNLP server, which led some professors, as they noted, to suspend classes that are taught virtually.

Strictly speaking, the problem with the use of the Webex license occurred last Friday, according to spokespersons from the University Rectorate, when the subscription renewal process was carried out.

The lack of system affected not only Medicine, but also the UNLP faculties of Law, Humanities and Social Work.

This process takes 24 hours, the same spokespersons stated, and then yesterday the system was already working. As explained, the problem occurred because once the subscription was reestablished, each faculty must activate the platform once more. “What happened is that until they needed to use it, they didn’t know they had to reactivate it. Today – yesterday – it was already working in perfect conditions in all the faculties,” they added.

The claim from the Faculty of Medicine originated because the theoretical classes are live and recorded for those who cannot attend the headquarters of said academic unit due to lack of space and course schedules.
