The center is expected to accommodate up to 500 students from 2025, when it will be partially operational and will provide training for pilots, maintenance and cabin crew.

Dispatch courses and ancillary courses, particularly in the area of airport emergency services, are also offered, as well as drone piloting training, recurrent flight simulator training and other advanced pilot training for specialized missions.

This new center of excellence for aeronautical skills (CEAS) will include an aircraft hangar. It will work in partnership with higher education institutions to train a skilled workforce that meets global aviation training standards and industry requirements.

This project, which aligns with the country’s Vision 2050, will strengthen Rwanda’s ambition to become a regional aviation hub and attract international investments in the aviation sector.

The goal is to improve human capital by providing high-quality training, upskilling the workforce and transforming it to increase productivity.
