Unusual Discovery: Dead Female Leatherback Turtle Found near Dutch Border

It is probably a female, measuring 1.73 meters and weighing 200 kilos. She was found not far from the Dutch border and is believed to have been dead for several days.

His remains will be taken to Merelbeke for autopsy.

Leatherback turtles normally live in the Atlantic Ocean but are sometimes noticed closer to shore during warmer months.
