On Monday evening, news spread like wildfire from separate areas between Ifni and Guelmim regions of the sight of glowing fireballs in the sky, while others confirmed having heard the sound of three explosions around the white beach and its surroundings.
During these hours dozens of people went to the place of these explosions, in order to obtain pieces of meteors which are very profitable given their scientific value and their high price.

Some of those with experience in this field have confirmed that what was seen last night in the skies of the Guelmim region are no more than bright balls of fire illuminating the sky, according to local media. .
As a reminder, in recent years, Morocco has experienced the phenomenon of falling meteorites and meteors, especially in the southeastern regions (Errachidia, Zag, Lamsid, Tiglit, etc.) and the process of research, excretion and sale has become a source of income for dozens of people known as “meteorite hunters”.
The end of the story is that the lights of these so-called “meteorites” were just fireworks, no more and no less.
