Urban violence in France broke out on June 27, following the death of a 17-year-old boy at the hands of a police officer. The arrest of the agent, who will be investigated for intentional homicide, did not calm things down. Since then, the radicals have set fire to or vandalized thousands of vehicles, hundreds of stores and bank offices, as well as dozens of town halls and schools throughout the country.
