Update 1.1.1 Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: The duplication glitch already fixed by Nintendo?

2023-05-19 16:50:00

From the top of its 10 million sales in barely a week, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is obviously on everyone’s lips at the moment and the developers at Nintendo are on the job to correct the slightest bug that is lying around.

Update 1.1.1 for Zelda TotK: what does it fix?

As usual, Nintendo remains quite vague on the fixes made by the update. You can find the official patch note below but you quickly notice that the most important concerns the quest “The Closed Door” which bugged for thousands of players. From now on, you will no longer encounter this problem and will be able to progress through the scenario without any problems on the sky island of the Prelude to complete the tutorial!

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes the player could not complete the main quest “The Closed Door”, even though they met the requirements to advance the quest. If you have already encountered this problem, you will be able to complete the quest by downloading the data for this update.
  • Several issues have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience.

If your game is not up to date, you can force the update via the Home Menu:

  1. In the Home Menu, go to the game icon and press “+”,
  2. Go to the “Update” tab then “via internet”,
  3. The update will start.

And the duplication glitch in all this?

Obviously, Big N’s priority was to correct the progress of the players in their main quests (thanks!) but the duplication bug does not seem to be a problem for them at the moment. Thus, many internet users on Reddit explain that he is always possible to duplicate objects if you feel like it and you don’t want to spend hours farming.

Several techniques can be used to duplicate an object, such as fusion with Amalgam, the use of two bows or your inventory.
