Upper Austria League: SPG Pregarten as St. Martin 2.0?

PREGARDEN. Dominik Nimmervoll is waiting for Dominik Nimmervoll in the Upper Austrian Football League today with the game between SPG Pregarten and SU St. Martin/M. A very special encounter: The 37-year-old and his brother Rainer were the trainers for the blue-yellow team for four years (2018 to 2022) – before the reunion, the memories are mostly positive: “It was the best and most successful time in the coaching business so far for us. Friendships were also formed that still exist.” Today the friendships are on hold: the third-from-bottom team needs every point in the fight to stay in the league. “We probably can’t enjoy the game that much because we urgently need points in the relegation battle.”

The starting position in Pregarten was similar to that in St. Martin: “We took over St. Martin in relegation trouble and wanted to lead the club upwards.” This was achieved impressively with the sensational third place and the State Cup success in the 2021/22 season. “We then considered our project to be over.” Last October, the Nimmervolls were ready for a new one after a year-long break: “We are in good spirits that the 1-0 win against Bad Leonfelden was the starting signal.”
