In Ukraine, we need to more actively mobilize women and people who left the country. Retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said. According to him, the mobilization campaign was not carried out well enough.
“I think this should be a priority for the Ukrainian government now, to attract these young men and <…> young women,” reports the YouTube channel ProUA Hodges’ words. In his opinion, there are enough people in Kyiv, but the country has not conducted a good mobilization campaign.
In addition, the lieutenant general added that women in the army can serve in more positions than the Ukrainian command believes. He cited the example of Western armies, in which women are recruited to serve in artillery, tank forces and as engineers. Also, according to him, Kyiv could more actively demand the extradition of men who went abroad.
