Just over a week ago, the Gmünd bodybuilder Urs Kalecinski took third place in the legendary “Arnold Classics” in the US city of Columbus. Because he is so well prepared at the moment, the man from Gmünd started again in a professional competition this weekend – this time in Boston. There, the 23-year-old was able to assert himself against the competition across the board and won the “Classic Physique” category.

Last but not least, the former dancer from Gmünd was able to convince the audience and the jury of his qualities with his choreography during the performance.
With his most recent success, Urs Kalecinski bought the “Olympic ticket”. In other words, he decided to take part in what is probably the most important bodybuilding tournament, “Mr. Olympia” qualified this year. There the Gmünder, who as a European is exotic in these high-class competitions usually dominated by Americans, had already made a name for himself with fourth place in 2021 – which was a real surprise for many given Kalecinski’s age. Because in order to “Mr. Olympia” to be at the forefront and look like the statue of a classical Greek god usually takes a lot more years of training.
