Rioters, emboldened by Donald Trump and false claims of electoral fraud, invaded the Capitol on January 6, 2021 to try to prevent the transfer of power to Joe Biden.

Some 1,358 people were charged since that date, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Justice published last week. Approximately 500 individuals were sentenced to prison sentences.

Trial postponement?

In criminal cases, Donald Trump’s lawyers advance the argument that his presidential immunity (2017-2021) which will be debated by the United States Supreme Court starting April 25.

Four primaries this Tuesday

Donald Trump should be officially confirmed in his status as Republican candidate for the American presidential election after the primaries organized this Tuesday in four states: Georgia, Mississippi, Washington and Hawaii.

The former president is the only Republican still running in the November election.
