US imposes visa restrictions on Israeli immigrants who attack Palestinians
Washington: The US State Department will impose a travel ban on Israeli immigrants involved in violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the new visa control policy is aimed at targeting individuals who create obstacles to peace, security and stability in the West Bank.
The US official statement pointed out that the decision is aimed at imposing restrictions on those who attack Palestinians and prevent access to basic services and basic necessities for civilians and their families.
The U.S. State Department said yesterday that Israel was not taking adequate measures to deal with settler attacks that have driven many Palestinians from their land. Following that, the US State Department issues a new visa policy.
