Arabictrader.com – US stock index futures recorded a slight decline ahead of the opening of trading today, Thursday, after the strong gains achieved by US stock indices during the trading session yesterday, Wednesday, and the markets are awaiting the statements of US Federal Reserve Governor Jerome Powell later in the day.
Ahead of the opening of trading today, Thursday, the futures contract for the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 26 points, or about 0.1%. The futures contracts for the S&P 500 fell 0.1%. Also, the futures contracts for the index fell by about 0.1% ahead of the opening of the American trading in US stocks.
And US stocks ended trading on Wednesday with a noticeable rise in light of the calm concerns about the rising inflation in the United States, as it rose by 1.4%, or the equivalent of 435 points, to record 31,581 thousand points, as investor sentiment improved coinciding with the decline in American returns, and a drop in what may be Alleviates inflationary pressures, which in turn boosted demand for US stocks.
