USA primary elections 2022: Which states have voted?

United States continues holding the 2022 primary election.

Through this process, they choose candidates who will subsequently represent a party to run for public office, either level local, state or federal.

In the primary elections there are two modalities, open and closed, also known as nonpartisan and partisan.

The elections nonpartisan are open, which means that everyone who is registered to vote can participate, regardless of whether it is affiliated with any party; while the partisans are closed and they can only vote people who are affiliated with a party.

USA primary elections 2022: Which states have voted?

The elections began since March 11 in Texas and have been developed in stages in the various states of the country, ending until next September 13 in Delaware, Louisiana, New Hampshire and Rhode Islandto later give way to the general elections that will be held on November 8.

Until now, The states that have held their primary elections are as follows:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Georgia
  • Idaho
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Nebraska
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • Texas
  • West Virginia

The states that remaining to carry out the process are:

  • June 7th: California, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico y South Dakota
  • June 14th: Maine, Nevada, North Dakota, South Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma y Utah
  • 19 julio: Maryland
  • August 2: Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri y Washington
  • August 4: Tennessee
  • August 9: Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont y Wisconsin
  • August 13: Hawaii
  • August 16th: Alaska y Wyoming
  • August 23rd: Florida
  • September 6: Massachusetts
  • September 13th: Delaware, Luisiana, New Hampshire y Rhode Island
