Users report that the WOM eSIM is now available for prepaid and postpaid customers

It’s been a long time since the operator WOM is conducting tests to implement its new e.gand has even given away trial eSIM on two occasions to test the prepaid service on compatible devices.

But, everything seems to indicate that the operator has already launched the service, although it has not been made public yet. According to various reports we have received and seen on social media, the change from SIM to eSIM would already be available for prepaid and postpaid customers.

Everything indicates that the service was enabled on September 26, since several sales executives announced the availability of the service. Of course, everyone agrees that the change is requested at any WOM branch, including the “islands” that one sees in the malls.

This image posted by Francisco Rojas in the CL Operators community shows that they changed his SIM to eSIM at a branch located in La Serena.

On the other hand, sources within the company confirmed that this new service is indeed already active in stores for customers.

eSIM reusable

The last eSIM that WOM gave away publicly, we tested it and were able to verify that the eSIMs of this operator are completely reusable. In other words, if you want to change your device, you simply have to remove the eSIM from your old device and then scan the QR code that you received from your eSIM with the new device and you will have the service activated.

Do you already have the new eSIM from WOM? Let us know!
