USSR Central Television announcer Svetlana Morgunova died

People’s Artist of Russia, announcer of the USSR Central Television Svetlana Morgunova died at the age of 84, her close friend Vera Musatova reported.

“This happened this morning. The cause of death was blood clot rupture,” said Musatov to TASS agency.

Morgunova’s assistant reported Daily Storm that the artist was not ill and her “heart stopped.”

Svetlana Morgunova was born in Moscow on March 7, 1940. She studied at the theater studio at the Mossovet Theater, and since 1961 she has been an announcer for the USSR Central Television. Morgunova was also a co-host of the Blue Light and Morning Mail programs.

In 2020, Morgunova’s 52-year-old son, Maxim, who was 52 years old, died from coronavirus. Morgunova’s life after that was divided into “before” and “after”, she stopped appearing in public, noted “MK”.
