Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings’ big score against Lucknow Super Giants (CSK vs LSG) in IPL 2022. Batting first, Chennai’s Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dubey put on 210 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Uthappa was Chennai’s top scorer with 50 off 27 balls. Shivam Dubey scored 49 off 30 balls.
In the power play, Robin Uthappa’s shot bounced off Chennai and in the middle overs, Shivam Dubey’s batting leap to the top of the order. In the last overs, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni crossed the 200 mark for Chennai.

Uthappa started batting from the first over of the innings bowled by Avesh Khan. Uthappa, who started the first two balls with a boundary, scored 14 in the first over. Uthappa hit sixes and fours in the second over off Chameera for 12. Chennai lost the Gaikwad in the third over when Andrew tied the tie. Gaekwad, who survived the LBW appeal on a tie, came out of the crease for a run but was run out on a direct throw by Ravi Bishnoi.
Uthappa started with a boundary in the fourth over by Avesh Khan before Moin Ali hit a six. Uthappa was in top gear with 18 runs, including four fours, in the fifth over bowled by Andrew Tie. Chennai, who scored 73 in the power play, lost Uthappa’s wicket in the eighth over. Uthappa, who scored 50 off 27 balls, was caught in front of the wicket by Bishnoi.
But with Shivam Dubey at the crease, Chennai is back in top gear. Chennai reached 100 in the 10th over when Dubey smashed in support of Moin Ali. Ali, who scored 35 off 21 balls in the 11th over, was bowled clean by Avesh Khan to give Lucknow some consolation. But Ambati Rayudu and Shivam Dubey kept Chennai at bay.
Meanwhile, a catch by Shivam Dubey hit Chameera on the ground, knocking Lucknow back. Ambati Rayudu (27 off 20 balls) was bowled by Bishnoi in the 17th over but was bowled by Ravindra Jadeja at the crease. Dhoni did not make things worse by hitting six off the first ball and a four off the second. In the 20th over, Jadeja (17 off 9 balls) returned, but Dhoni’s innings (16 * off 6 balls) secured Chennai a huge lead.
Lucknow, who had earlier won the toss, opted for fielding. Chennai made three changes to the team that played the last match.
