The Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) in Saltillo began the process to become the first private institution in Coahuila to be included in the world directory of Schools of Medicine, an online consultation tool, to obtain accurate and up-to-date information on the medical institutions in the world, which are recognized for their
governments.
The Secretary of Health of Coahuila recognized that it signed the documents that accredit the UVM Saltillo as an institution that complies with the medicine programs.
The World Directory of Medical Schools is a private institution, which requests the endorsement of the health authorities of each region, to verify the information provided by the universities.
According to the UVM Saltillo, the procedures have been successfully initiated because the State Health Secretariat signed the documents that support the registration of the School of Medicine in the aforementioned directory.
