The artist’s sound engineer was left alone with his misfortune. The man was in a coma for a month.
Vyacheslav Ignatiev, a well-known sound engineer in the music industry, joined the team of singer Laima Vaikule in the 2000s. Ignatiev very quickly regretted his decision to contact the performer of the hit “Vernissage”. It turned out that the famous Vaikule likes to show character. “She could put the microphone down and leave,” Ignatiev recalls. Working with a blonde brawler was a serious stress for the sound engineer.
Once on tour in the United States, Vyacheslav became ill. In a hotel room, the sound engineer had a stroke. The man lost his arm and leg. By some miracle, Ignatiev got from the bathroom to the bedroom where the telephone was located. At that moment, the sound engineer literally said goodbye to life.
The man managed to get through to the porter. He called the medical team. Vyacheslav Ignatiev ended up in a local hospital.
“I was put into a coma. I was in a medically induced coma for a month, ”Vyacheslav said on NTV.
According to the sound engineer, while he was in a coma, Laima Vaikule flew home to Latvia. Paralyzed Ignatiev ended up in a foreign country all alone, without money. Funds for his return to Russia were collected from the world one by one. As a result, the helpless Ignatiev was brought to St. Petersburg, where his children lived. Vyacheslav’s rehabilitation lasted a year and a half. He was bedridden and needed a nurse. Over time, Ignatiev got better, he was able to get to his feet, began to serve himself on his own. However, fate dealt a new blow to the sound engineer. He slipped, fell and broke his hip. Vyacheslav did not recover from this injury – now he is confined to a wheelchair.
Ignatiev needed expensive medicines. The modest disability pension was not enough for the sound engineer. He dared to ask for support from his former boss, Laima Vaikule. Vyacheslav called the director of the blonde, but received no help.
