Venna Melinda was absent from the trial agenda. Meanwhile, Ferry Irawan was present and explained Venna Melinda’s strange behavior.
Ferry Irawan’s mother, Hariati, said that her son had been locked up by Venna Melinda. He heard Venna Melinda herself tell the story of locking her husband in the room all day.
“Yes, Venna said it herself. For example, Ferry said, ‘Mami, I’ve been locked up all day in my room’. ‘I locked it from the outside’. Ferry was locked up with Venna, locked from the outside. The reason is she’s afraid to run away,” Hariati said, imitating her words. Venna Melinda was met at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Thursday (16/2/2022).
Regarding Venna Melinda’s reasons for locking Ferry Irawan in the room, Hariati was reluctant to go into more detail. He said at that time that he knew because Venna was afraid that Ferry Irawan would leave the house.
“Afraid of running away. But Mami didn’t comment on anything. That’s between husband and wife, right. That was before December (2022) if I’m not mistaken,” he said.
“Yes, Venna told Mami, not Ferry (the story),” he added.
Hariati revealed that this incident was just the first time. The two of them even locked themselves together. Hariati thought Venna was ‘strange’.
“Once locked up. Then once again the two of them were locked up, neither came out. It’s strange, jealousy,” he said.
Regarding rude behavior, Hariati said Venna Melinda had also scratched Ferry Irawan.
“I don’t know either, he said. So, it’s not that Ferry is arrogant, he often hits, there isn’t any. In fact, Ferry has told me that he was scratched or what he did (because he made a mistake), I don’t know. Anyway, that’s the story, but the rest there isn’t any,” he said.
Hariati believes that Venna Melinda is a good daughter-in-law. Venna Melinda has also accompanied Hariati in surgery.
However, Hariati did not expect that Venna Melinda would now close communication. He was very disappointed, even though Venna was still his daughter-in-law before the hammer knocks occurred.
“Nothing until now, I don’t know. Mommy has contacted her, but until now there has been no response from Venna for communication, nothing,” said Hariati.
“Yes, I mean I just want to ask what’s wrong, I mean what’s wrong with Venna. So far, we’ve been fine, we’ve never had a fuss, nothing’s happened. In fact, it’s just a shame, but if the response comes from there, it’s okay, maybe it’s already so many times the character,” he concluded.
